When we feel at odds with our situation and our life, we oftentimes think, "There must be more to life than this".  There is more.  You need only to look inward to find it.  It is where you are at all times....here, now.
The people I work with in DR Congo know this to be true.  No matter what obstacle arises, they have a knowing that they must look inwards to find strength to carry on.
